Friendly Frogs Cupcakes

1 package any flavor cake mix
Green sparkling sugar
Black round candies
White Chocolate candy discs
Black and red String licorice
Green jelly candy fruit slices

Preheat oven to 350 and mix all ingredients, bake for 14 to 18 minutes and let cool.

1. Frost cupcakes with food colored frosting and sprinkle with green sugar

2. Use a small dab of frosting to attach black candies to white discs for eyes. Cut licorice into smaller lengths for mouth and nose. Arrange candies on cupcakes to create frog faces.

3. Use scissors to cut jelly candies into feet.

Buttercream Frosting
1 cup butter
1 teaspoon vanilla
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon meringue powder
1 tablespoon milk
1 package powdered sugar

Happy baking, if anyone decides to bake these adorable cupcakes I would love to see pictures!

  1. Those cupcakes are super cute!! I'm going to have to remember these the next time I take cupcakes to my kids class!

  2. How cute! Love the colors on the banner!

  3. They look like a cartoon character named Kerropi. This is perfect for some children birthday parties especially if the celebrant is a fan of Kermit the frog or Kerropi.

  4. I love the banner and the froggy cookie of yours. They are so cute. My 2 year old son will surely love your cookies if I made some since he is a fan of Kermit the frog. Thanks for sharing.

  5. We love the frog cupcakes. We think this is a wonderful baking activity to do with the kids, to help welcome in Spring. We shared it on our site!

    all the best,

  6. I am going to make these cupcakes this weekend. My sister's baby shower has a frog theme and these will be perfect! I'll share some pics when I have them!
