Flower Power

My mom and I had a fun weekend making lovely center pieces for her new house. We had some left over glass vases from a wedding that we helped with. The first thing we did was spray paint the vase brown and then added some fabric. Then we arranged the flowers, which took us forever! Here is our first piece!

We used the same fabric that she used for her curtains.

My mom made this center piece a few days ago, one of my favorites...wish I could steal it lol!!

Some Crafts for my Craft Table

I just finished my new craft table this week, so now its time to organize wooohooo fun times!!!

I wanted to add a little style...so I made a chalkboard, letter C for Cooper and a matching frame!

 

The chalkboard was an old picture that I never really liked, so I spray painted the glass with chalkboard paint. Then I mod podge some paper onto the frame.

I also used the same paper and mod podge on the C and frame, added some ribbon and a flower and WHaaaLaaaa!!! I am going to make these for mothers day as well.

I had a few little storage bins so I covered them with my favorite wrapping paper. Still have a few more to do and a few baskets to buy before I am done. I also want to redecorate my little white shelf...any ideas?????

I didn't realize how much space I have under this table...LUV IT!!!

New Craft Table

Remember the 3 tables that I got off of Craigslist...well I finished my craft table YAY!!!

My first step was to clean this baby up, it was a mess UGH!! I gave the table a few good sandings, this took me forever. I decided I wanted to stain the top and paint the rest a light blue color. So I stained the top with a Minwax stain called Early American 230. I primed the rest of the table and painted it with a light blue that I mixed myself. I am still not sure if I want to distress it or leave it???  Once I make my decision I am going to finish with some poly!! I am going to make this into my craft and homework table, can't wait to get all my stuff organized...thats a whole new project HAHA!!

Table Makeover

Prime, paint, and a little detail...LUV IT!!!

I have had these two end tables for 6 years now, it was about time for a makeover :) I painted the tables black and added my favorite paper to the top of the tables. I added little baskets to store some of my kiddos fun toys. I also bought some storage tins that I got for a $1 at Michaels. I spray painted them black to match and now I have a place for all their crayons, markers, chalk...hmmm its neverending!!! 

My Love for Benches

I heart benches...I mean I'm obsessed with benches!!!! So why not put my two loves together a black and white bench...true love!!! I had a brilliant idea. So I stole the kids cubbies out of their rooms...sorry boys! I turned them into a bench, then added some fabric and presto chango I have my amazing black and white bench...I heart it soooo much!!!!

I just need to get a few more pillows :)
